Coca-Cola Rhondda Rebels secured their second victory over the weekend with an emphatic 41-112 victory over UWIC Stealers, which confirms the Rebels in the top League which begins early November.

Geraldine Robert again led all scorers with 33 points while Silvia Gottardi chipped in with 24 points and 14 assists.

The Rebels took the first quarter 30 - 8 and trying to run the court at every opportunity with Ilze Zekite (20 points) converting some excellent fast break baskets to increase their half time lead to 16 - 72.

With the game sewn up the second half was a much closer affair with the Stealers sticking  to their task to the end and restricted the Rebels to just 40 second half points.

21 Free throw misses will be a concern to the Rebels and is certainly an area the team must improve on.
